Jason A. Hernandez

I was born and raised in San Diego, California. My dad worked operations at KSAN, so I was always around airplanes growing up. When I was four years old, I flew to South Dakota for a family reunion, and upon landing the Delta pilots invited me to visit the cockpit. It was at that moment I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life.

I attended San Jose State University, majoring in Aviation — Professional Flight, and earned my B.S. in Spring 2023. From Fall 2023 through Spring 2026, I was part of the SJSU staff teaching Avia 2 — Private Pilot Ground, an experience that deepened my passion for aviation education.

My goal is simple: give every student the same quality of instruction that shaped my own journey — safe, structured, and genuinely enjoyable.
